Instagram Influencer Engagement Rates are Dropping
Recent studies show that Instagram Influencer engagement rates are hovering near an all-time low for sponsored posts.
Engagement rates have fallen to 2.4% on sponsored posts from an average of 4% in previous years.
Marketers speculate that this is being caused by a saturation of sponsored posts in users’ Instagram feeds.
While marketers may reach a broader audience by using influencers with 10,000 followers or more, brands may benefit from using “nano influencers” who have a smaller reach but more dedicated followers where the engagement rate is still higher.
