Facebook recommends square images for all of its feed placements, explore pages, and Instagram feeds as well. π°β£

For stories and the audience network, it recommends a 9:16 aspect ratio. π² β£
Finally, they recommend the old school 1.91:1 aspect ratio for Instant articles, the desktop right column, and search results. π΄β£
Now, to customize your creative for each of these sweet ad placements, follow these steps: πππβ£
After you upload an image while creating an ad, a drop-down menu will appear. This menu is the gateway to a land of placement optimization. πβ£
Here, you have the choice to select each individual placement or customize them by group, with their respective aspect ratio (Go with the groups, it’s a time saver β±οΈ). β£
Next, Facebook will give you the option to upload a new photo or crop an existing one. You can also customize the primary text and destination URL by placement here too! π€π€β£
Once you’re done editing your ad creative by placement or placement group, publish those ads and start reaping the rewards. π€β£
