TikTok Could Have New Competitors in 2020!

Vine was all the rage five years ago. 🔥 People loved the app’s short, bite-sized video and the engaging nature of the app. ⁣
⁣
However, without a way to monetize content and with Instagram allowing users to post short-form video, the app quickly died. 💀⁣
⁣
Fast forward to the present day, the rise of TikTok is undeniable. The app is picking up momentum quickly. More and more users are adopting it and loving the similar, short-form content that Vine once gave us. 🙌⁣
⁣
The success of TikTok has piqued the interest of app developers and other social networks from around the world. We’ve seen Facebook take a stab at TikTok with Lasso and other failed attempts. 👎 ⁣
⁣
Moving into 2020, there are two new competitors that are looking to move into the bite-sized video space and take away some of TikTok’s market share. Byte and Firework are moving into the scene and taking aim at TikTok. ⁣
⁣
Byte is a six-second looping video sharing app very similar to Vine. Firework, on the other hand, is an immersive platform that will enable users to watch short form content in a variety of aspects. Both are operating in a similar space, but put their own spin on content delivery. 💯 ⁣
⁣
Given that businesses are enjoying a ton of organic growth on TikTok right now, if these two new apps begin to take off, valuable opportunities could exist for your brand. We’re excited to see what the new decade holds for social media and how brands use it to engage their audiences.⁣
