See PPC Ads That Are Targeted at Different Cities

Have you ever wondered what kind of PPC ads your competitors in different cities or countries are running? They could be running a search ad on one of your branded keywords and may not know about it! 🤷‍♂️⁣

For #TipTuesday this week, we’re going to teach you how to see ads from different regions so you can improve your own ads. 💯⁣

In Google Chrome, make a google search for a keyword that you’re currently running ads on. For this example, we’re going to search for “Bike Parts”. 🚲⁣

Now, the initial search results will show ads that are targeted at your current location. We want to be able to see ads for San Francisco, so we’re going to use Chrome’s Geolocation Override feature. 📍⁣

Right-click the page and click on “Inspect”. A window should appear in your browser. Click on the three dots near the top right of the inspector window. Hover over “More tools” to open the tools menu and click on “Sensors”. 🖱️⁣

In the console section, you’ll see a field where you can select a number of different cities that chrome can emulate. If you need to be more precise than the list that is given, you can enter the latitude and longitude of your desired location as well. 🗺️⁣

Once you’ve selected your location, simply clear your cache and refresh the page. The new Google Ads that you see will be augmented by location you have selected. 👍 ⁣
