Google is Releasing a Voice-Driven Version of Google news
Up until now, the news features on voice assistants have left something to be desired.
In the current iteration, the user hears news briefings that summarize multiple news stories, are often repetitive and lacks the ability to be tailored to your interests.
Google has addressed this problem with a more personalized take on their news features. This new radio-esque setup enables users to skip, repeat or get more information on stories with voice activated commands.
Google is addressing this problem with an open specification for “single-topic story feeds”. Any publisher that abides by Google’s content standards will be able to use this platform.
