Here are four new advertising updates for Facebook and Instagram to help you make the most of this online holiday shopping season 🙌
1️⃣ Brands can now add product tags directly to Instagram ads within ads manager. Previously brands would’ve had to promote an organic post to include product tags in paid promotions. This is definitely a big win for social commerce!
2️⃣ Facebook adds “Shopping Engagement Custom Audiences” to help brands retarget people who have already shown interest in their products. This will allow you to retarget those who have saved one of your products, viewed your shop, or initiated a purchase!
3️⃣ Facebook’s new “Shopping Lookalike Audiences” will allow you to target users with interests similar to your existing customers on Instagram and Facebook.
4️⃣ New discount features for *US* Facebook and Instagram shops. These allow businesses to put individual products on sale, create offers that can be automatically applied, or create promo codes that shoppers must apply at checkout.
