Facebook Ad Hack: Target a Facebook Group

For #TipTuesday this week, we have an AWESOME Facebook ad hack for you! ๐Ÿ™Œ

One thing Facebook marketers have wished they could do is target the members of a Facebook group with an ad. Groups with a shared interest could be a goldmine for marketing your product or service! ๐Ÿ’ฐ

Hereโ€™s a cool way to go about doing this. First, create a video that would be interesting to the audience in that group and will generate some interaction and post it to your business page. ๐Ÿ“ฝ

Next, copy the URL of that video (right click the video and copy link) then hide the video from your pageโ€™s timeline. We donโ€™t want people from outside the group we want to target to see it. ๐Ÿ”—

After youโ€™ve done this, go to the group you want to market to with your own personal Facebook account and post a link to the video in the group so that the members can watch it. ๐Ÿ‘€

Afterwards, go to your Facebook ads manager and create a new audience. With this audience, target people that have watched first 3 seconds of the video that you shared to the group. ๐ŸŽฏ

All you have to do next is create an ad targeting that audience. BOOM! This is a great way to target people in an area that share a common interest. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ

Weโ€™re only scratching the surface of what is possible with Facebook advertising here. For all of your Paid social advertising needs, Konstruct Digital is here to help!
