How to Claim Your Google My Business Listing
Claiming your Google My Business listing is extremely important.
It allows you to update critical information about your business, respond to reviews, engage your customers, and it’s good for SEO.
If you’re unsure of how to claim your listing, fear not. We’ve created a little instruction manual to guide you through the process.
Step #1) Visit www.google.com/business and click the “START NOW” button.
Step #2) Search for your business. If you find your business and see a link that says “Are you the owner?” you can begin the process of claiming your business listing.
Step #3) After you’ve clicked the “Are you the owner?” link, Google will ask you to confirm that you have been authorized to manage the business listing and to accept their terms and conditions.
Step #4) Google will give you two options to verify your listing (in most cases). They can either mail you a code to the address in the listing or they can give you a phone call.
Once you’ve verified your Google My Business Listing, you’re all set! You will have full control over your listing and be able to update it when required.
